Hey loves! So this is the first installment of my honeydew list: things you need to do in order to be a worthwhile person. Basically, here's how it works. I post things I've done that I've enjoyed, and a summary of why. Most of these things will be free because, not only am I a college student, but I also have an extraordinarily expensive habit of constantly changing my hair color. If you like the first things I post, chances are you will like the rest. This way you can find a meaningful way to fill your empty little lives with humor and information. And, you will be the know-it-all bastard at every party.
Since this is the first installment, I'll give you three tasks for the day, to get you going.
#1. American Gangster, Season 1: "Freeway" Ricky Ross
genre: informative TV
price: $1.99, available on iTunes
So I hate the history channel. And of this, I am ashamed. But I spent too many boring Sundays on my brother-in-law's couch watching documentaries about Hitler's drug abuse problems. Anyway, this documentary is actually interesting. It's about the rise of crack cocaine, conspiracies in the CIA, and the Iran-Contra affair. And like many in my generation, I assumed that cavemen had done crack, that the CIA was too inefficient to perform any real conspiracies, and that I knew what the Iran-Contra affair was about (something about the Middle East?) If you know better than I did, don't spend the money, but if you have room to grow, it's a worthwhile investment. Also included: crackbugged hobos.
#2. The Show With Ze Frank
genre: comedy/information/opinion videoblog
price: free, available at www.zefrank.com/theshow/
For all of those too impatient to watch The Daily Show, Ze Frank (pronounced 'zay') sums up the day's events in about a hilarious, unblinking minute. Plus he's super hot. And, there are cool 'reader tasks' (which I call, 'too lazy to fill up the whole minute himself' tasks), like dressing up your vacuum cleaner or hosting wandering fans. It's really entertaining what people can come up with!
#3. Fleshbot
genre: comedy/smutty blog
price: free, available at http://fleshbot.com/
For all of you who enjoy naked parties and celebrity gossip (i.e., the pillars of society), this blog caters to you. I just stumbled over it last night, and although I enjoy a large number of celeblogs, I find most of them repetetive. Where else can you find Brit's vajayjay with no NSFW warning? Yeah. That's what I thought. Don't worry, I'll be here once you're done.

I like these ideas (minus the celeblogs). Haha... I'm already ASHAMED at how much I know about celebrities because people at my work leave the magazines lying around and I get really bored >_<. And I feel sorry for Angelina Jolie because everyone stalks her!
But I will check out some of this! It looks interesting!
